We can scan originals up to 42 inches wide and up to 15 metres in length. We will always endeavour to obtain the best quality scan we can from your original, whether it be on paper, tracing, linen or card.

Scanning Process

Included in our scanning process is despeckling and deskewing. Despeckling works to refine the lines and remove grain/marks from the scan. Deskewing helps to ensure your scan image is straight on the scan even if the original print is not.

Your originals can be brought in, or mailed to our print department for us to scan and return, we can even arrange a courier collection from your office if you wish.

Formats

Scanning is usually done at 400dpi (dots per inch) quality by default, and available in mono or colour. Scans below A3 size are available at up to 1200dpi.

All files can be saved as JPEG, GIF, TIFF or PDF. PDF files can be created with multiple pages. Files can also be vectorised into a DXF format (Autocad file type).

Digital Data

Scanned files can be burnt onto CD or placed on a USB Memory stick.
