The Art Institute of Chicago has one of the largest collections of art in the world. In an ideal world everyone should have the opportunity to experience the collection, that simply isn't possible as not everyone can visit the museum.

Thankfully the Art Institute of Chicago agrees that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the collection, many of their paintings are renowned around the world such as "Paris Street; Rainy Day," by Gustave Caillebotte (1877) that we have featured in our title image. To this end the museum has released over 50,000 images on their website under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license.

Any image labeled "CC0 Public Domain Designation" can be obtained free of charge for both commercial and non-commercial use. While it is not required they do ask that reproductions of the images include the following information:

Artist. Title, Date. The Art Institute of Chicago. This information, which is available on the object page for each work, is also made available under Creative Commons Zero (CC0).

We strongly recommend you go and have a look.
